Dear Invited Participant

We invite you to participate in the 20th Annual Convention of the World Igbo Congress, scheduled to hold Aug 29 – Sep 1, 2014 at the Hilton Houston Southwest, 6780 Southwest Freeway Houston, TX 77074. The theme for the convention is Obi di n’otu, Igbo akwuru (With unity of Purpose, the Igbo will Survive and Progress).

At the convention the following events will take place: We will

  1. Honor friends of the Igbo in particular and Africa in general
  2. Give status report on the progress of the proposed comprehensive regional health center of excellence including the land and funding issues related to it
  3. Discuss the future of the Igbo as a people in the context of the evolving National conference and the security issues facing the Igbo in Nigeria
  4. Present the grassroots work of WIC-WFAC in protecting Igbo women and girls in line with the 3rd Millennium development goal of the United Nations.
  5. Celebrate the contributions of WIC to Igbo Renaissance this past 20 years of its existence.
